Awaiting your discovery

Because of the central location of our region, you can undertake excursions in many directions.

The provincial capital Bozen can be reached by car in 30 minutes or 20 minutes by train.  The fruit market and the Portici will flood you with their famous southern flair.  A quick visit to ‘Ötzi’, the Iceman, in the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology is a great idea.  The ‘fairy-tale’ castle of Roncolo is a secret tip for those who love romantic stories of knights and fortresses.  It houses great art treasures in the form of frescoes.

Even Merano is not too far away (50 km).  Every Friday, you can enjoy the largest Alto Adige weekly market in this cosy spa town.  Visit the new spa facilities and be enchanted by the blossoming variety of plants found in the gardens of Castle Trautmannsdorff.

It is also worth undertaking a Dolomite round trip, for example, to the Passo di Carezza or the Alpe di Siusi, or also to the Brenta Dolomites.
Riva del Garda is only 70 km away.  The Safari and Animal Park, the adventure park at Gardaland, as well as the Acquaparc at Lake Garda can be reached in one hour by car. In the same time you can visit Verona for a short trip.

If you visit our region during the summer, you should treat yourself to an opera performance in the Arena in Verona.
And don’t forget: romantic Venice is only 200 km away.

If would like to treat your car to a holiday as well and enjoy your excursions at the same time: book a seat on a modern coach, which runs different tours from Monday to Friday.  Reach your beloved destination well-rested and in peace!  Request a detailed excursion programme from your Tourist Board office.
