The wine teaching trail

From the planting of a young vine, to the path of life for each vine.
On this trail through the life of a vine, nature lovers discover many important events throughout the wine-growing season. Starting at the centre of Kurtatsch, you follow the ‘Saltner Pratze’, a wooden hand, to the access of the wine teaching trail. You’ll find a grape the height of a man, carved from the stones of the stream coming from the glacier. The trail leads you for about 1.5 km through a vineyard area, where you can find every type of grape grown, as well as individual cultivation methods, such as the pergola, which is typical for South Tyrol and the trellis systems.
Every Wednesday, Margareth Orian, an approved guide for nature and landscapes, and a wine farmer with heart and soul, will guide you this wine hiking trip along the teaching trail to Entiklar. You will be surprised how much there is to know about wine cultivation! Of course, there will also be the opportunity for some wine tasting. As you will walk most of time along a hiking trail, it is recommended that you wear good walking shoes.
